Before officially breaking into the acting industry, Martin had already gained a big following on social media, in particular, TikTok, wherehe has over 800K followersand nearly 50 million likes.
“I was an elitist about TikTok. I was like, ‘I’m never downloading that app.’ It’s for 16 year olds to dance with their shirts off,“Martin told Comicbookabout his initial hesitancy to join app. “Then I went on there and I realized you can just make anything. You can make any video, as long as it’s a minute.”

Like Reinhart, Martin is an actor who is best known for his role on the NBC seriesLa Brea. The sci-fi show follows the aftermath of a sinkhole opening up in the middle of Los Angeles. Amid the chaos, people are pulled into the sinkhole, one of whom is Martin’s character Josh Harris. When his family is separated in the depths of it, they begin looking for each other while trying to survive.
In January 2023,La Breawas renewed for a season 3. But accordingly toDeadline, NBC opted for a shortened installment in lieu of the Writers Guild of America strike. Though filming was set to begin in March, new episodes may notpremiere until 2024.

Though Martin was born in Maryland,he grew up in McLean, Virginia, where he developed a passion for acting at a young age. He didn’t always plan to act

He came to the conclusion that he wanted to try to act with a little help from his mom, which he recalledin an interview withA Book Of.
“I remember talking to my mom and one of my friends, and we were sitting there talking about what I wanted to do as I actually didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life back then,” he said. “This is like halfway through college. And they’re like, well, you seem to really like acting, I think you should try to be an actor. Don’t you want to do that?”
Martin continued: “And without hesitating, not even a thought given to it. I was like, of course. When I decided I wanted to be an actor, I was too embarrassed to even tell my friends about it because I didn’t know what they were going to say. I mean, all my friends in college went on to really classic corporate jobs … getting that call was like, oh my God, it’s really happening.”
He previously parodied Lili Reinhart’s ex-boyfriend
Weeks before going public with Reinhart, Martin parodied her ex-boyfriend Sprouse’sCall Her Daddyinterview in a skit wherehe pretended to be the “third Sprouse brother.” The actor, who actually bares a striking resemblance to Sprouse, even wore a white button-up shirt and pretended to smoke a cigarette during the clip, as Sprouse notably did.

Months after they sparked dating rumors, Martin went Instagram official with Reinhart whenhe posted a number of photos of them togetherin a gallery shared on July 10.
“Unbelievable, even egregious amounts of Smiling and Chilling,” he captioned the post, which included photos of him and Reinhart traveling together.
The following month, on August 3, Reinhart posted several sweet pictures on her Instagram Story about her new beau in honor of his 25th birthday.
“It’s my cowboy’s birthday,” she wrote alongside a photo of Martin in a black cowboy hat. “I’m so grateful for the light you’ve brought into my life. Happy birthday, Mon petite.”

A few months after going Instagram official, the couple stepped out together at the Venice Film Festival in September 2023. They were photographed attending a Giorgio Armani event beforegoing on a double datewithSydney Sweeneyand her fiancéJonathan Davino.
Martin later posted photosfrom their trip on Instagram, including a selfie of them together from the Giorgio Armani event.
