The 1975fans can officially stop panicking.

WhileMatty Healyrevealed his band would be going on an “indefinite hiatus” following their current tour earlier this week, he offered some reassurance to fans during their concert at San Jose’s SAP Arena on Thursday.

He added, “That’s not happening. Don’t worry about that.”

“It just needs to be a very firm, full stop at the end ofStill … At Their Very Bestbecause I kind of still know what I’m doing, but a part of me doesn’t,” he quipped.

Healy originally made the announcement about the band’s impending time off followingtheir current tourduring their Golden 1 Center gig in Sacramento, California on Tuesday.

According to afan-posted video, prior to the band performing their hit “Sex,” Healy let the crowd in on the news.

“Thank you so much for coming — this tour will take us about six months. It’s crazy to think about. We always love … playing for you guys whenever we have the chance. It’s wonderful you’re all here,” he told the audience. “After this tour, we will be going on an indefinite hiatus of shows, so it’s wonderful to have you guys with us tonight. Thank you so much.”

The 1975’s manager Jamie Oborne has insinuated as much recently,warning fansahead of the ticket onsale that the concerts would be the “final dates of this era and for quite a while” and that “they are gonna besomething to remember!”

The 1975 — Healy, drummer George Daniel, guitarist Adam Hann and bassist Ross MacDonald — recently the North American run of their Still … At Their Very Best tour in support of their latest album,Being Funny in a Foreign Language.

The alt-rock outfit will take their show across the countrythrough Decemberbefore heading to the band’s native UK and Europe in February. The Still … At Their Very Best tour is set to wrap in March 2024.
