“OK, legit. How many people hug at the end of their breakup conversation?” she asked her friend Jenn.
“A high five would have been more appropriate,” her pal responded as they laughed together. “This is probably the most action she’s gotten from him in years.”

In an October episode ofSister Wives, Kody opened up about how his marriage with Meri was strained and hadlost the sparkit needed to keep it going.
“I feel like Meri and I have had a reasonably amiable relationship,” the Brown family patriarch told the cameras. “It’s distant, I don’t see her very often. I don’t know what to do with a marriage that’s supposed to be eternal, but doesn’t have any fire.”
In January, Meri and Kody announced theirsplitin a joint message posted on their respectiveInstagrampages, writing, “After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship.”

The original Brown family pair experienced many issues over the years, withMeri’s catfish drama— in which she virtuallyconnected with a woman posing as a male admirer— serving as one significant breaking point for the pair.
That said, Meri previously told PEOPLE that she and Kody had been teetering along for a while before they officially severed their union.
“I don’t like living in limbo land. And I feel like I live there a lot, but what I like now is that any limbo land I’m living in is on me, and it’s not based on anybody else,” she shared.
“I do wish that we could have had some of the conversations sooner. And also, I don’t know if I would’ve been ready to have some of the conversations sooner,” she continued. “So it’s not like I can live my life with regret and wish something would’ve happened. I think we all do that to some degree, but I know that there’s things that I needed to learn, and I know there’s things that I needed to do to be able to be in the place that I am right now with the whole thing.”
