Here’s how stunning the night sky would look if there were no lights

I wish well we could turn of all the lighter in the world just for one night and I like that all the unaccented defilement would disappear and I wish the shadow would reveal the night sky as it should look . As a stunning and glittering and spinning curiosity that ’ll make me blank out about life-time down here and dream about the beyond .

In a urban center like London light pollution make the night sky invisible . Only a few of the brightest stars and asterism force their supernal light through the man made gleaming of the city . The night sky , one of the most beautiful of natural wonders is extinguished from view . Blackout City is an experimental timelapse film that makes the inconspicuous , seeable . It attempts to show what the nighttime sky would look like If there were ever to be a total dimout in the South East of England on a clear , moonless , summer dark .

I start out shooting this labor back in August 2013 and have been slowly gathering footage when conditions were right . Although each dart in this motion picture is a composite , all footage is real . The city shots were captured during the day and processed to expect like dark and the nighttime sky dead reckoning were captured from dark location around the South of England to ensure that the ace are astronomically right for the parallel of latitude of London . I have also processed the astro shots to be more kindly to what the bare optic would see in terms of vividness and detail . The internet is saturated with well - process image of the Milky Way that show phenomenal colour that are the result of fantastic low lite DSLR technology . Do n’t get me wrong I roll in the hay these image , I am one of the people who endeavours to create them ! But in reality the Milky Way does not look like this ; so in Holy Order to make this photographic film more believable I have chosen to process the shots this way .
