This is hersecond Friday in a rowbeing halt in front of the Capitol — and she ai n’t show up alone this time . Her co - star on “ Grace and Frankie ” Sam Waterston ( or as others at Earther and Gizmodo call him , the “ Law and Order guy ” ) unite Fonda . Capitol Police arrested him , too ! This was homie ’s first arrest ever , harmonise to NBC News manufacturer Frank Thorpwho was on the scene . To make thing well , Fonda was arrested looking like the goddamn queen she is . I typically do n’t deal much for celebrity takes on mood variety . I appreciate it when they apply their political program to bring aid to the issue , of path , but that normally involvesgiant lump total of money , and something about that just does n’t sit down well with me . Money ca n’t solve everything , man . What Fonda is doing , however , is so implausibly hardy and badass .

As an previous blanched woman who also happens to be a celebrity , she ’s using her exclusive right to institute aid to the issue . She ’s also support in solidarity with others who face arrest at these mood change protestation . Moreandmorepeopleare using civil disobedience and verbatim activity to protest mood alteration or take activity to prevent it . Arrest , unfortunately , is typically a part of that deal .
And Fonda ’s taken a page out of Thunberg ’s playscript by pack these protests at once to the people who have the power to do something about the climate crisis : our elect officials . The climate movement needs young masses , but it also needs older biotic community appendage . To be real , we necessitate everyone . And Fonda is doing a hell of a Book of Job bringing all types of masses — even the Grace and Frankie / Law and Order cat — into the mixture .
