You may echo that we had kind ofa bighearted problemwith Google+ ’s insurance of not leave nom de guerre . Well , Google just announced they ’re finally decease to give the doors for them , as well as Google Apps and brand names .

All Things Dis describe that Google ’s Sergey Brin and Vic Gundotra herald at the All Things D conference in Hong Kong that the reason they contain off for so long was that they were examine to undertake some of their other major security policies first , like how they deal with underaged common people . Now that they feel more good on that front , they ’re working on an implementation for nom de guerre and anonymous users . There are a stack of multitude online who do n’t apply their real figure and have very licit reasons . For some it ’s a serious surety threat ( keeping away from psychotic ex-wife , etc . ) , and for some , they just never go by their real name . I detest to break it to you , but Lady Gaga ’s real first name is n’t Lady , and her last name is n’t Gaga .

Also in the works is integration with Google Apps . For those who use Google Apps for business and have been annoyed that they ca n’t use Google+ with their account , ’ tis a well-chosen day indeed . If someone uses a Google Apps report as their primary email address there ’s no cause why they should have to determine up another Gmail account statement just so they can use Plus . Presumedly around the same time that rolls out , Google+ will be open up for brand to have their own pages . When Google+ was in early days they excellently booted Nike and Coke , which I thought was fairly awesome .
While I ’m psyched about the first two announcements , I ca n’t lie , I ’m kind of disappointed about the firebrand matter . People are citizenry , brands are ship’s company . I do n’t like it when we treat companies like hoi polloi , but I guess this was inevitable . Google is , after all , a steel / troupe itself , and it likes dollar - clam bills y’ all .
Side note : In case you were wonder if any of the40 million+ mass who have sign up are actually using it , according to Vic Gondotra 3.4 billion photos have been upload to Google+ since it launched . That ’s billion , with a B. [ All Things DviaTechland ]
