dawn to viewI just got my hands on the first Moto Q9 m , and after a couple of time of day , I ’m ready to charge it right back . Seriously , if you buy this phone , you are slow .
For starter , Windows Mobile 6is a piece of crap . typeface in power point : I plug in my freakin ’ Hotmail write up to localize up email , and it tell me it ca n’t do it , and refers me to a web connection that I ca n’t spread . I am indisputable there ’s a product manager who will quickly explain to me what I did wrong , and the 17 steps I should memorize for do it correctly . But could this possibly be my fault ?
Other deterrent example of this :

• When type , I could n’t find the symbolization alternative until I pressed a few buttons at random , but when I try the same jazz group a second time , it did n’t work .
• I launch Solitaire , yet could n’t figure out how to dally with the d - launching pad or jog telephone dial , and gave up in anger . Again , my fault , ripe ?
• Lag lag lag lag lag . ( No manner that ’s my error . )

The next party to fault isVerizon Wireless : While I admire the crusade to modernize the antiquated and unhelpfulWindows Mobilescreen , the affair VZW put in its office is pretty chilling . I could have that go — you have it off , different stroke , different kinsfolk — were it not for the fact that you ca n’t customize it at all . You either get the V Cast Music , camera , medium player and volume controls , or you get nothing . Why should n’t you be able to program the covert as a rocket launcher for your most appropriate apps ? Yeah , that ’s credibly just some unbalanced idea . you may switch to the assorted useless Windows Mobile screens , but they are , as I indicated , no improvement .
It does have V Cast Music—$1.99 for over - the - air songs you could get elsewhere cheaper — but no one has figured out how to provide the V Cast video help on a Windows Mobile machine yet . If you ever wanted to demonstrate the time value of Verizon ’s streaming picture , it would be great to do it on the Q9 m ’s attractive 2.5″ sieve .
I could lay into the pricing plans for this thing jolly hard , but I wo n’t even trouble . If you buy this for $ 200 ( online , circumscribed fourth dimension ) , you merit two days of pay $ 80 per calendar month for service . In case you are funny , the starter plan include 450 minutes of talk plus straight-out e-mail and on - speech sound browse . If you want to use it as a modem for your information processing system , you ’ll pay $ 15 redundant per month .

Regarding the GPS question that some of you had , Verizon says that GPS is enabled for navigational exercise , but I have to tell you that I see no grounds of it when digging through various Windows menus . This could easy be the fault of the oblique operating system , however . As far as Verizon ’s own VZNavigator pop off , there is no Windows Mobile version at this time . So GPS - wise , you ’re either SOL , or just totally on your own .
Last and least , Motorola is at mistake for this trainwreck . It ’s not a bad looking phone , but the red - and - black motive and Verizon branding says it all , that Moto is uncoerced to go down away all of its own quality priorities in club to deal a phone through a carrier . namby-pamby decisions out of Schaumburg , IL made the RAZR both ubiquitous and worthless , and it ’s apparently still happening .
