Disney has produced scads ofanimated musicalsover the decades , with century of songs in their repertory . It might be hard to measure the good songs Disney has ever made ( although the answer can probably be find onThe Little Mermaidsoundtrack ) , but we can give an opinion on which songs are best from each film .
This list plunge into the main Walter Elias Disney animated musicals from the retiring almost - century . To narrow down down campaigner , I take away inspiration fromthis “ calculation ” of best full soundtracksby Daniel F , which said it has to be a fully animated motion-picture show that was released in theaters and has to admit at least three original Song that act what the persona are feeling or going through . As always , this is a subjective list that is presented with 100 percent objectivity and authority . And if you disagree with any of my choices … I mean I detest to ask , but are you certain you ’ve heard music before ?
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: “Heigh-Ho”
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs may have been Disney ’s first journey into animated musical theater about princesses who fall in love , but the highlight from Walt Disney ’s theatrical debut is the dwarves ’ introduction , “ Heigh - Ho . ” It ’s two amazing tracks throng into one , for double the sound fun .

Pinocchio: “When You Wish Upon a Star”
It ’s one of the most famous Disney songs of all metre , and for good understanding . We ’ve all wished on adept for our dream to come true . Whether or not they did , well , that ’s another taradiddle .
Dumbo: “Baby Mine”
I dare you to hear to this song and not bawl your eyes out . Do it . I dare you .
( observe : I recognise there ’s another very honest song in Dumbo . But it ’s part of a very very not good scene , so I prefer not to include it . )
Bambi: “Little April Shower”
Bambi has a fantastic score , but the song do n’t hold up . “ Little April Shower ” is the dear of the lot , mainly because of how well it ’s integrated with the musical score . Which , again , is wondrous .

Cinderella: “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes”
Cinderella ’s debut Song dynasty is a calming tonal pattern about the power of dream — mostly because she did n’t really do much in her life other than wish for well stuff . It might be symbolic of her passivity as a protagonist , but it ’s still gorgeous . That order , “ Bibbidi - Bobbidi - Boo ” was a close instant .
Peter Pan: “You Can Fly”
There is n’t a soul on the planet who discover this strain and did n’t immediately conceive they could fly . Pretty sure most of us got contusion from trying .
Lady and the Tramp: “He’s a Tramp”

The quintessential ode to bang the simple thing in life , aka not giving a darn about everything else in the world .
The Aristocats: “Scales and Arpeggios”
This was a ready to hand guide during childhood voice lessons , and it holds up .
( observe : I recognize there ’s another very well call in The Aristocats . But it has some gravely racist shit , so again I ’m not including it . Seriously , WTF , Disney ? )
Robin Hood: “Oo-De-Lally”
This bardic refrain from Alan - A - Dale ( Roger Miller ) not only set the scenery for the picture show , it ’s also , like , super iciness . Robin Hood and Little John might be fleeing for their lives from the Sheriff of Nottingham , but there ’s no reason to get all freaked out about it .

The Great Mouse Detective: “The World’s Greatest Criminal Mind”
Ratigan is the in truth surplus scoundrel that guy from Pocahontas could only dream of being . This tribute to his reprehensible mastermind is fun and lively , with a few truly fucked - up ancestry thrown in for adept cadence . Like , apparently he swim widows and orphan ? What the sin ?
Oliver & Company: “Why Should I Worry”
Long before Phil Collins corner the “ Superstar Does Disney ” market , Billy Joel gift it a whirl with Oliver & Company . Joel may not have save the caterpillar tread about how cool it is to have street smarts , but it was unquestionably compose for him . The vocalizer and song go together like cats and dogs — which is a good thing in this suit because Oliver is a cat-o'-nine-tails .
The Little Mermaid: “Part of Your World”
The niggling Mermaid is one of those moving-picture show where every song is a perfect small-arm of an even more everlasting puzzle . It ’s hard to opt . But in the end , Jodi Benson ’s refrain about wanting something more is the sodding bit we ’re choosing .
Beauty and the Beast: “Belle”
It ’s really surd to land a with child company number in animation . It ’s something that works best on Broadway , where all the different characters can intersect and overlap on stage in a beautiful helter-skelter mess . “ Belle ” may be the o.k. society number in animated melodic account . It ’s big and loud , but also knows when to center on its star . In just a few minute , the song manages to tell us everything we call for to have it off about Belle and her mankind .
Aladdin: “Friend Like Me”
Robin Williams . That is all .
A Nightmare Before Christmas: “Sally’s Song”
Catherine O’Hara lends her pipes to Sally ’s haunting song about wanting to be with the skeleton she make love . It may not be the heavy musical number in A Nightmare Before Christmas , but it ’s one that knows how to labour its fingers in your brain and linger .
The Lion King: “Circle of Life”
This song is so good it gets its own montage .
The Hunchback of Notre Dame: “Hellfire”
“ Hellfire ” is one of those songs you ca n’t consider exists in the Disney pantheon . It ’s about Judge Claude Frollo ( Tony Jay ) , a moral leader who becomes obsessed with Esmerelda , a fair sex who represents everything he brook against . The song represent his inner torment as he ’s immobilise between his lust and his faith ( with a little bit of slut - disgrace in there ! ) . It might be the most complex melodic number Disney ’s ever put on film .
A Goofy Movie: “Eye 2 Eye”
Every song in A Goofy Movie is worthy of its own list . “ Eye 2 Eye ” is the standout here because it represent the final solution between Goofy and Max . For the first time ever , they ’re come across it middle to eye !

Pocahontas: “Colors of the Wind”
So , um , Pocahontas is not my favourite musical to discourse . It look beautiful , but it ’s got some major job that have only gotten worse over time . That said , “ Colors of the winding ” is a somewhat song and it ’s sung stunningly by Judy Kuhn .

Toy Story: “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”
I do n’t remember of Toy Story as a musical , at all , but it technically fills the standard . It ’s got three original songs from Randy Newman that are used to represent what the reference are feel , even if they ’re not the ones tattle them . As we see later on , that becomes a huge trend with Disney in the early 2000s . Anyway , I ’m personally a sports fan of “ unusual Things ” but I ca n’t deny that “ You ’ve catch a Friend in Me ” is a cultural basic .
( Side preeminence : Toy Story 2 does n’t have enough newfangled songs to be included , but I wanted to give a special cry - out to “ When She enjoy Me ” because it ’s very pretty )

Ah Phil Collins , welcome to the Disney family . “ You ’ll Be in My meat ” might be cheesy as hell , but it ’s damn catchy . Tarzan marks our entrance into the post - Hercules Disney era I wish to call : “ Musicals , What musical ? ” Many of the animated films for the next decade home the original songs in the scope ( often sung by famous creative person ) talk as the theatrical role ’ subconscious . It was a proficiency popularized by DreamWorks , Shrek in particular . Technically they ’re still musical , although barely .

place on the chain is one of those movies that has all but disappeared from our storage , mostly because it kinda sucks . But some of the songs are n’t half - defective ? I ’m peculiar to the curtain raising number , “ ( You Ai n’t ) Home on the Range , ” which has some Oklahoma ! and old - schoolhouse Disney vibration .

I was shocked to learn that Rob Thomas ’ “ Little Wonders ” really get along from Meet the Robinsons . It ’s an hunky-dory call and it give a mickle more sense now that I sleep with it was for this film !
The Princess and the Frog: “Almost There”
Anika Noni Rose ’s Tiana pass on us one of the best “ I Want ” birdcall in the history of Disney . hand down .
Tangled: “I See the Light”
Remember how I note the “ musical comedy , What musical comedy ” earned run average originally ? Tangled was the first musical that successfully blend DreamWorks disquietude with traditional Disney . The song start with Mandy Moore and Zachary Levy telling as Rapunzel and Flynn taciturnly watch the lantern — just like all the fame who sang for Chicken Little and Tarzan — but at the end of it , the characters themselves add up together and sing ! The Princess and the Frog may have been a final testimonial to the Disney Renaissance ( and it was great ) , but Tangled showed what was around the recession .
Winnie the Pooh: “Everything Is Honey”
Did you jazz that Frozen ’s songwriters made a Winnie the Pooh musical with Zooey Deschanel ? Did you also live it ’s not good ? This song is fine at least .
Frozen: “Let It Go”
Again , patently .
Moana: “How Far I’ll Go”
Moana has so many fantastic Song , I find myself put on the soundtrack whenever I want a quick boost . In “ How Far I ’ll Go , ” newcomer Auli’i Cravalho instantly wow us with her song about , well , require something more . It ’s a common topic in Disney , but dammit , it ’s because it works .

Coco: “Remember Me”
“ Remember Me ” works on so many level , it ’s almost inconceivable . In the beginning , Ernesto de la Cruz ( Benjamin Bratt ) has deform it into a happy love strain that ’s also about his desire for a bequest . Héctor ( Gael García Bernal ) demo its origins as a cradlesong for his daughter . And finally , Miguel ( Anthony Gonzalez ) tearfully sings it to Mama Coco , plead with her to think of her father . The song is about the magnate of retention and our concern of being forgotten , and it works in all of its form .
Frozen 2: “Show Yourself”
“ Into the Unknown ” may have been the “ Let It Go ” surrogate for Frozen 2 , but “ Show Yourself ” emerged as the superior track . Idina Menzel and Evan Rachel Wood sang a haunting duet about love , acceptance , and their eternal connection . Plus , Elsa got a novel getup during it !
