Los Angeles is honoring a local literary hero Ray Bradbury , by creating Ray Bradbury Square at Fifth and Flower in business district L.A. This is half a dozen block aside from Clifton ’s Cafeteria , where Bradbury was a regular , and a I. F. Stone ’s throw from the Central Public Library , where Bradbury publish on the public typewriter .
After the City Council vote to rename the intersection after Bradbury , his daughter Susan Nixon told them , “ My father would be so gallant to be honored in this agency . ” Working to keep the local public library undefended was Bradbury ’s “ majestic accomplishment , ” she added .
