It ’s been 40 yr since Apple was establish , and by now , the story is a Silicon Valley fable : Two friends , Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak , built a multi - billion dollar bill empire in good order out of their parent ’s garage . But what most people do n’t know was that there was actually a third person decisive to Apple ’s line of descent .
Apple ’s third co - founder , an obscure military personnel by the name of Ronald Wayne , appears alongside Jobs and Wozniak in the initialbusiness partnership agreementsigned precisely 40 yr ago today .
